Tottenham are ready to offer £16 million for Valencia striker David Villa.
The Daily Mail says Spurs sporting director Damien Comolli has already begun informal talks with Valencia.
Although Villa is also on the radar of Chelsea, Liverpool and his preferred choice Real Madrid, Spurs boss Juande Ramos believes he can persuade the Spain striker to join him at White Hart Lane.
