Tottenham have made an offer for PSV Eindhoven goalkeeper Heurelho Gomes.

The Independent says it is understood their offer falls short of the £11 million the Dutch club is demanding for the 27-year-old Brazilian international.

Spurs are also facing stiff competition from AC Milan who, it appears, are prepared to pay the release fee while Arsenal have also inquired about Gomes.
