Spurs No2 Poyet: Strikers must improve finishing

Tottenham assistant boss Gus Poyet admits the club's strikers this season haven't been clinical enough.

Poyet told Spurs TV: "If you don't score a second goal, then we end up drawing games.

"In four of the last six games - Manchester City, Newcastle, Blackburn, Middlesbrough - we've taken the lead but not seen it through."

He continued: "It's difficult. We've taken the lead, we've been in control and everyone expects us to score the second goal and finish the game off but for different reasons it hasn't happened.

"If you don't score a second goal the opposition will always try and get something out of the game."
