Tottenham midfielder Christian Eriksen is happy to have spent his junior days with Ajax.

Eriksen chose Ajax over a move to Chelsea as a teenager.

"It's a totally different world. In England you cannot without permission even enter the training complex, while in Denmark you can just run everywhere," said Eriksen.

"I chose Ajax because the step would otherwise have been too great. A departure to Ajax was also much better for my development."

Eriksen actually played two games for Chelsea - against West Ham United and Millwall - before leaving for the Dutch giants.
