Spurs, Man City join battle for Barcelona's Dos Santos

No less than THREE Premiership clubs are now chasing Barcelona whizkid Giovani dos Santos.

The influential Barcelona daily El Mundo Deportivo says Chelsea, Tottenham and Manchester City have all made contact with representatives of Dos Santos, while Manchester United have also made tentative enquiries.

The main player in the Premiership battle is Israeli super agent Pini Zahavi, who was taking care of Dos Santos before he signed with Jorge Mendes. Zahavi, on behalf of an unnamed Premiership club, has made the Mexican a massive contract offer - far greater than his present £400,000-a-year Barca deal.

If the 18 year-old accepts the proposal, the Premiership club will then meet Dos Santos' £20 million buyout clause in January, so leaving Barca with no option but to accept the bid and wave goodbye to their teenage ace.
