Tottenham have made an improved bid for Portsmouth left-back Matt Taylor.
The Daily Mail says Tottenham have made a £4.6m offer to Portsmouth for Taylor as manager Martin Jol looks to end his search for a left-sided midfielder.
Spurs made their move on Wednesday night after Jol met with chairman Daniel Levy for talks over transfer targets following the club's disappointing start to the season.
