Tottenham legend Chris Waddle feels fans are seeing the true ability of Andre Villas-Boas.
Waddle hopes the pressure on the Portuguese will now disappear, and give him the time and space he needs to implement his vision.
He told the Sunday Mirror: "At Chelsea his hands were tied. He was apparently asked by Roman Abramovich to change the team. People were sceptical about AVB because of what happened at Chelsea. But that's a hard club to manage. You've got to play in a style to please the owner.
"AVB probably pushed the senior lads out a season or two early and paid the price. So to get the Spurs job was a great opportunity for him to prove himself."
