Tottenham legend Pat Jennings insists goalkeeper Paul Robinson is the best there is.

Jennings, one of the greatest goalkeepers of all-time, is convinced Robinson is ready to return to his best and does not believe Scott Carson, currently doing well on loan from Liverpool at Aston Villa, Pompey shot-stopper David James or West Ham's Robert Green are in the same class.

"Paul is showing signs that he is on his way back and is playing well at the moment and keeping clean sheets," Jennings told Sky Sports News.

"He is still the best goalkeeper out there, you don't become a bad one overnight. Why would you want to change?

"You recover from criticism through possessing inner strength and I guess that may be the one thing that he lacks at the minute is confidence.

"But I have trained along side him at Tottenham and he is still doing everything as well as he was last year and the year before that. I just can't see anybody better than him at the moment."
