Former Tottenham and Newcastle United boss Ossie Ardiles has put his hand up to succeed Diego Maradona as Argentina coach.

Ardiles told TalkSport: "Any person who gets the opportunity to manager Argentina - it's a bunch of very talented individuals.

"I would love to of course but the press always say that I want the job and I am the candidate, I don't think so. One of the guys who would be considered would have to be actually living in Argentina."
