Tottenham boss Juande Ramos is ready to offer £15 million for Blackburn Rovers winger David Bentley.

The Sun says Ramos will test Rovers' resolve to hang on to their rising England star, who has so far refused improved terms at Ewood Park.

Bentley, 23, has three years to run on his deal after joining Rovers from Arsenal two years ago.

But Blackburn's failure to qualify for Europe could be the deciding factor as Spurs can at least offer Bentley UEFA Cup football next term following their Carling Cup win.
