Tottenham boss Juande Ramos is ready to offer £6 million for Sevilla defender Julien Escude.

The People says Ramos has been linked with Sevilla's Brazilian full-back Daniel Alves and their former Spurs striker Fredi Kanoute.

But sources in Spain insist Escude, 28, is the one player from his former club the Spaniard is keen to sign.

Escude broke into the France side after Ramos signed him from Ajax two years ago.
