Spurs keeper Robinson feeling more confident

Tottenham goalkeeper Paul Robinson is feeling his confidence return after a difficult season thus far.

The 28-year-old made a series of high-profile errors earlier in the season and was dropped for the last game of Steve McClaren's reign as England boss - but he feels his confidence is returning.

Against Manchester City in the Carling Cup on Tuesday, he kept Spurs ahead with a polished performance and a stunning save to deny Darius Vassell.

"I was very pleased with how I played - my form is coming back," said Robinson.

"I did have a dip in confidence, and it affected my performances a little bit.

"But my confidence is coming back to me now, and I think people can see from my performances that I'm getting back to my best."
