Tottenham boss Martin Jol has joined the race for Feyenoord wing-back Royston Drenthe.

Drenthe is an early candidate for Player of the Tournament at this month's U21 European Championships and has caught the eye of Jol.

Aston Villa are also keen on Drenthe, who can play at left-back and in an attacking role.
