Tottenham have joined the battle for Manchester City midfielder Gareth Barry.

The Mail on Sunday says Barry is a target for Tottenham. The central midfielder is out of contract from Manchester City this summer.

But because of a clause in the loan deal that took him to Everton, who want him permanently, he would cost the club £2.5 million.
