Tottenham hope to agree personal terms with Espanyol striker Luis Garcia today.

The Sun says Garcia's agents are set to travel to London today for further talks with Tottenham, who are hugely confident of landing the 27-year-old striker.

Publicly, Espanyol have insisted they do not want to lose one of their star performers.

But privately they are resigned to having to offload some of their players.

The La Liga outfit are currently having a new stadium built and have a host of high earners on their books.

Garcia is not one of those. He picks up around £15,000 a week.
