Teddy Sheringham says playing alongside Jurgen Klinsmann at Tottenham took his game to a new level.

He told Spurs TV Online: "He was infectious, clinical...just awesome really. He won balls in the air, he would run in the channels, hit volleys that came at him neck-high, he would run away players for you, he was unselfish, but at the end of the day, he was a goalscorer. If you gave him half a chance he'd hit the back of the net. That's the difference between good and fantastic players.

"I was very lucky to play with Jurgen at that time and then with Alan Shearer for England at Euro 96. It's the pinnacle of anyone's career to play for England at Wembley in a major competition. It was a fantastic time."
