Spurs hero Ginola: Man Utd striker Rooney a dream for any coach

Tottenham and Newcastle United hero David Ginola says Wayne Rooney deserves to be regarded among the world's great players.

The Manchester United striker has produced superb back-to-back performances against Hull City and Manchester City this week.

Ginola told the Daily Mail: "Rooney is the archetypal modern attacker. He is more than a striker, so he should not be compared with ‘strikers’.

"He marks his generation. He’s very polyvalent and a fantastic team player - a dream for any coach.

"He scores goals and is a real finisher. He has fantastic vision, too.

"I like the fact that he is capable of recovering the ball, too. If you observe his gestures during a game it makes you think that as well as being a striker he could easily be a defender. He ranks amongst the best strikers of today’s generation, alongside Ibrahimovic, Messi, Drogba, Ronaldinho,Pato, Kaka and Ronaldo."

If You didnt see Torres name it just proves you wrong. Hes not the best.

No point having A striker who is injury prone. What a waste of money paying someone who is always in the treatment room rather than on the field. He could have the last laugh enjoying his money without playing. I suggest that he plays in the WOMEN leagues so that there will no physical contact(after all he looks like a woman) i mean that girl TORRES

i say he's better then all the rest including torres...
