Tottenham legend Clive Allen says the club must qualify for the Champions League next season to keep hold of Gareth Bale.
Allen thinks the club must make it into the top four this season if they are to stand any chance of extending Bale's stay.
He said: "If Spurs don't manage to make the top four it will be time for him to go.
"Right now, though, there's no doubting the feelings Gareth has for the club and for his team.
"We all saw that in terms of the stunning performances and all the goals he delivered in the Premier League last year."
