Spurs hero Allen backing West Ham ground-share

Tottenham hero Clive Allen feels the club should move to the Olympic stadium for a season with West Ham United.

Spurs face a year without a home while their new £400million arena is made ready and Wembley and Stadium MK have been suggested as possible venues.

And Allen told the Daily Star Sunday: "I can't see a reason a reason why West Ham would oppose the move.

"They will move in there and make it their new home but there are so many teams throughout Europe who share their grounds.

"I can't see it would be a major problem that on alternate weeks Spurs can use it.

"Although the MK Dons stadium is a fantastic place, I think it's just a bit too far. The Olympic Stadium would be perfect. There was interest from the club in terms of moving there anyway.

"It's a difficult one because all their plans were to go straight into the new place once it had been finished and it may just unsettle them for a year or so."
