Tottenham are furious with Rafa Benitez after the Liverpool manager admitted Robbie Keane was on his shopping list.

The Guardian says Benitez has riled Tottenham by going public with his wish to bring Keane to Liverpool. Having already angered Martin O'Neill, his managerial counterpart at Aston Villa, with his persistent courting of Gareth Barry, the Spaniard provoked amazement at White Hart Lane yesterday by confirming his interest in their Irish forward.

Liverpool would have to pay at least £20m to sign Keane, but there remains a confidence at Anfield that business can be done.
