Gareth Bale admits Tottenham had lost their spirit under former boss Juande Ramos.

Bale, 19, said: "We showed a great team spirit at Arsenal which has been lacking of late, and that resulted in our bad start to the season.

"But we have turned the corner and we are on the way up with the new manager.

"I was a first-year scholar when Harry (Redknapp) was at Southampton but I trained with him now and again.

"He is a great manager - one of the most respected in the game. It was great that he came here and it's working well in the dressing room.

"I think Harry is the man to get us out of this mess we are in."
