After a rare start for Tottenham, Fernando Llorente hailed the team's "important win" at Swansea as they look to keep pace with the top four teams in the Premier League.

Tottenham have gone through an up and down festive period, but the North London side grabbed all three points in this game following a routine 2-0 win.

Llorente spoke about his delight at starting and scoring, and about the importance of the game.

"I'm very happy, we controlled the game, we played very good for the first 30 minutes," he said.

"It's not easy this game, Swansea needed to win because they are in a difficult situation and I think we played really focused and aggressive in this game.

"For us it was really important to win, to stay with the first teams in the league. They win a lot of games, and we have to win."
