Aiden McGeady is ready to leave Celtic this summer.
The Sunday Mail says the winger has been soul-searching for months and that his decision has been reached with a heavy heart.
But the 24-year-old feels he has gone as far as he can in Scotland and wants to be tested in a new environment.
Spartak Moscow have already seen a bid of around £8m rejected by the Hoops. But the Russians will make a new offer this week and are con dent of agreeing a fee. McGeady returned from holiday last week and is now in a position to meet Spartak if Celtic give him permission.
The Hoops hero is understood to be interested in a move there but would rather join a club down south. Aston Villa, Spurs, Everton, Birmingham and Sunderland all rate McGeady highly and will consider tabling bids.
