Tottenham aim to close a deal for Stuttgart striker Timo Werner this week.

The Mail on Sunday says 19-year-old Werner is wanted by the Spurs hierarchy to support first-choice striker Harry Kane next season.

Spurs will hold talks with their German counterparts this week over a move for the Germany Under-19 international.

Tottenham are targeting players under the age of 27 who are able to fit into Pochettino's high tempo style.
