Tottenham are closing in on a deal for Hertha Berlin midfielder Kevin-Prince Boateng.

Concerns were raised when reports from Germany revealed the attacking midfielder has undergone two knee operations even though he is just 20 years old.

Boateng has been examined by Tottenham's medical experts and although the Premier League giants may want to tinker with the amount of cash - £4.5 million - they pay up front and the amount that is then handed over after appearances, it is expected the deal will soon be satisfactorily resolved.
