Tottenham coach Juande Ramos is closing in on Udinese goalkeeper Samir Handanovic.

The News of the World says Ramos has decided to shift Paul Robinson out in the summer and is planning a move for the Slovenian.

Handanovic is not first choice at Udinese but has impressed Spurs scouts with his displays for his country. Ramos firmly believes the keeper has a big future and wants to rapidly see off major rivals for his signature.
