Tottenham coach Juande Ramos admits he could relieve injury-plagued defender Ledley King of the club captaincy.

"We'll have to see what state he is in next season," said the Spaniard. "We're going to have to wait for the diagnosis of the doctors.

"We'll have to wait and see if he is here next season. We don't know what the squad is going to be like, and we'll make that decision then."

He added: "I know perfectly well what the situation is with Ledley's injury but that kind of information, only the doctors can give you."
