Spurs coach Ramos makes shock Robinson recall

Tottenham coach Juande Ramos is set to make a shock recall for goalkeeper Paul Robinson for this week's UEFA Cup clash with Slavia Prague.

The Daily Mail says Robinson, who began the season as England No.1, has not played since he was axed by Juande Ramos in January, but he will also face Chelsea in the Carling Cup Final on Sunday at Wembley if he comes through unscathed.

The dramatic development comes after Radek Cerny's mistake in Prague last week, which enabled Slavia to cut the arrears to 2-1, and Spurs head coach Ramos has doubts over whether the Czech keeper can cope under severe pressure. Ramos made the decision after video analysis of Cerny's recent performances and has decided to give Robinson, 28, a final chance in the Tottenham team.
