Gus Poyet is happy with his role at Tottenham as Juande Ramos' translator.
The former Uruguay captain claims to have identified the problems that have restricted Tottenham to one league win in 11 matches this season, but compared with the situation he found on arriving at Leeds 12 months ago, he is quietly optimistic.
"We have our opinion about what is missing and we have to turn it around as soon as possible," Poyet said. "The ingredients are there, that's the key. It's a big difference with Leeds, which was very difficult. There are no big issues at the club about getting training and turning results around. Juande has proved himself at Seville and he can do it again here."
Poyet must also prove himself, though he is keeping good company as Jose Mourinho also began his career as an interpreter.
