Tottenham development coach Clive Allen is in hot water.

The Daily Mail says Allen could be censured by the FA after hitting the bottle - literally - during Tottenham's reserve defeat of Aston Villa.

The Spurs coach kicked the opposition's drinks' container and ranted at referee Matthew McLaughlin as the 2-1 win edged to a close at Leyton Orient on Monday.

Allen was angered by the decision to give Villa a corner in injury time and lashed out at the water cooler, scattering water bottles and sports drinks across the technical area.

He then confronted the referee, who sent the 47-year-old to the stands. McLaughlin included the incident in his report and the FA have confirmed they are looking into it.
