Despite a 3-1 defeat to Aston Villa, Tottenham reserves coach Clive Allen was delighted to see Dorian Dervite come through his comeback game unscathed.
The young French defender hasn't played since January and was given 20 minutes by Allen, who told the club's website: "It was great to see Dorian back, Joe Martin also played after a long-term injury and both will be better for playing.
"I also thought Danny Rose played well in his first 90 minutes for us and Troy Archibald-Henville was up against Marlon Harewood, a tough, physical game for him and he came through it well."
