Spurs closing deal for Palace kid Bostock after weekend talks

Tottenham are wrapping up a £5 million deal for Crystal Palace teenager John Bostock this week.

The Daily Mail says Palace's 16-year-old midfielder talked with Spurs' sporting director Damien Comolli at the club's Chigwell training ground at the weekend and has agreed a five-year contract.

Bostock, who made his debut for Palace aged 15 years 287 days, will be put on an 'accelerated development programme' that will propel him towards the first team at Tottenham. Spurs have made a cash offer, believed to be around £500,000, for his immediate release, with a series of clauses dependent on appearances for club and country.
