Tottenham's move for Sevilla coach Juande Ramos is gathering pace after the Spaniard's team lost against Real Zaragoza on Saturday.

The People says Ramos is on the verge of being sacked by the Spanish club after they lost 2-0 at Real Zaragoza, leaving the door wide open for him to move to White Hart Lane.

Ramos said he turned down a "dizzying" offer to coach Spurs last month. He wanted to remain in Spain to lead the club in the Champions League.

But it looks as if he will be available after all as last night's defeat signalled the La Liga club's worst streak since Ramos took charge in 2005.
