Tottenham chiefs know Lewis Holtby is likely to push for a move away.
The German is not prepared to sit on the sidelines under new gaffer Mauricio Pochettino as he chases first-team games.
Holtby had to settle for Europa League football under Andre Villas-Boas and was axed by Tim Sherwood.
Now the London clubs will pounce if that pattern continues next season.
A Tottenham insider told the Daily Star Sunday: "Lewis's speed and stamina might suit Pochettino's style of play.
"But if he is forced to play a bit-part role he will be off."
