Spurs, Chelsea in contact with Man Utd striker Tevez

Carlos Tevez has England's biggest clubs wanting to sign him permanently from agent Kia Joorabchian.

The Sunday Mirror says Manchester United, Chelsea, Arsenal, Tottenham, Manchester City and Aston Villa are all vying to sign the Argentine striker this summer.

But none of the clubs is prepared to meet the £28million asking price that Tevez's owner Kia Joorabchian is believed to be demanding for his protégé.

The issue is further complicated by the issue of third-party ownership, which has now been outlawed by the Premier League.

No club can recruit Tevez on a loan deal. They must acquire his registration outright and become the player's sole owner.
