Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy won't allow coach Tim Sherwood to take the Blackburn Rovers job on the cheap.
The Mail on Sunday says Levy handed a new long-term contract to Sherwood, a former Rovers title-winning captain, in the summer and the 43-year-old has an important role at White Hart Lane as a technical co-ordinator overseeing the club's youth programme.
He survived a cull of backroom staff at Spurs following the departure of Harry Redknapp in the summer and Levy could want as much as £3million to allow him to move to Ewood Park.
