Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy was delighted to see his decision to replace Martin Jol with Juande Ramos vindicated with yesterday's Carling Cup triumph over Chelsea.
"We've had lots of good moments at Tottenham but it's a wonderful feeling to lift the cup and I'm very proud of the team and all the coaches," said Levy.
"There was no pressure on Ramos and clearly it's a wonderful achievement for him but, really, the players deserve a lot of credit. We hope we've got a very good manager and I think he's proved that today."
