Spurs chairman Levy offered Adebayor to Chelsea in Torres swap attempt

Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy made an attempt to bring Chelsea striker Fernando Torres to White Hart Lane in the final days of the summer market, it has been revealed.

Levy was desperate to find a buyer for Emmanuel Adebayor and offered the centre-forward to Chelsea, says the Sunday Mirror.

And he made an audacious attempt to swap him for Torres.

But Chelsea rejected the deal.
