Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy needs to keep hold of Gareth Bale to secure fresh sponsorship.
The Daily Mail says Bale is not only the club's pivotal player on the pitch but also crucial to chairman Levy's ambition of securing a minimum £20million-a-year shirt sponsorship contract next season.
Tottenham's kit suppliers Under Armour, who have entered the boot market, are also keen on Bale becoming their prime client. The US company are aware Bale has just one more season left on his adidas endorsement, understood to pay him around £750,000 a year.
