Tottenham made a bid for Manchester United striker Javier Hernandez last month, it has been confirmed.
The Daily Star says Spurs wanted the 25-year-old goal-poacher, who is valued at around £15m, in addition to £26m man Roberto Soldado.
Daniel Levy submitted a bid for Hernandez but his advances were knocked back by United.
Old Trafford chiefs promised David Moyes they would keep their squad together, according to reports in one national newspaper.
