Spurs chairman Levy has Barcelona backed into corner over Villa deal

Barcelona have no interest in hiking up David Villa's salary this season and are determined to sell.

Punto Pelota says Villa's pay will jump from €7 million to €11 million for the final year of his current Barca deal - should he remain at the Nou Camp this coming season.

Barca management have no interest in shelling out such a figure for the striker and are now pushing to close terms with Tottenham over the striker's sale.

Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy is aware of Barca's predicament and will drive a hard bargain to get Villa for as cheap as possible.
