Tottenham boss Andre Villas-Boas refuses to panic over Real Madrid's high pressure pursuit of Gareth Bale.

The fact that Bale remains silent is what keeps Villas-Boas, and all Tottenham fans, hopeful that eventually the Spanish predators will be forced to give up.

"At the moment we are confident that he is under contract at Tottenham," said the Spurs boss. "It's something that we are speaking about, but there aren't any developments.

"He is a special player, had a wonderful season last year and at the moment we are extremely happy with him."
