Spurs boss Sherwood against clubs 'hoarding' players

Tottenham boss Tim Sherwood says he doesn't believe in "hoarding" players.

He insisted there was no need to spend heavily in the January market to bring in another striker.

"I think it is wrong to collect players for the sake of it," said Sherwood. "You're hoarding them and then it is up to the manager to manage them.

"If the players they were suggesting were far better than what we already had then I am bringing him in and managing the problem. That ain't a problem, but it is not about collecting players who are on a par or less than what you already have."
