Tottenham boss Harry Redknapp remains keen on West Ham United captain Matthew Upson.
The Times says Redknapp has urged his board to move for Hammers midfielder Scott Parker - and also wants England defender Upson as part of his January transfer plans.
Daniel Levy, the Tottenham chairman, said at the club's annual meeting last week that Redknapp must sell players to raise funds to strengthen his squad, but the manager is prepared to do so if it allows him to make the signings that would help to try to secure a top-four finish and a place in the Champions League.
