Tottenham boss Harry Redknapp has cooled talk of signing Manchester City rebel Carlos Tevez.

Redknapp laughed off talk of him coming to White Hart Lane when he was asked if Tevez was a target.

"Yes, but he has always wanted to play for Tottenham," he said. "Ever since he was in Argentina, he had a picture of Hoddle on the wall and Ricky and Ossie.

"'I want to play for Totting-ham', I remember him saying that."
