Tottenham boss Harry Redknapp has denied Middlesbrough claims of an illegal approach to winger Stewart Downing.

Boro boss Gareth Southgate accused Spurs of trying to unsettle their England ace.

After victory in the FA Cup over Wigan last night, Redknapp said: "I spoke to Gareth myself. I asked him if the player was for sale, he said no and that was it. We move on."
