Tottenham boss Harry Redknapp has been blamed for Portsmouth's financial meltdown.
Pompey director Sulaiman Al-Fahim blames the club's ex-boss Redknapp and former owner Sacha Gaydamak for the club's desperate plight.
Al-Fahim insists the rock-bottom south coast side are fighting to survive because of their excesses.
He raged: "Gaydamak was allowing the management to do whatever they wanted. And they used to spend a lot of money on players, on wages and so when I came into the club it was in deep trouble.
"There was no proper budget, no proper policy on spending.
"So what we are doing now is cleaning up the mess."
Pompey's new owner Ali Al-Faraj has decided to use lawyer Mark Jacobs and financial advisor Danny Azougy to take charge of the club's financial affairs in a bid to stave off insolvency.
