Tottenham boss Juande Ramos admits the speed of the Premiership has taken him by surprise.

He said: "In Spain, the football is more tactical, it is not as intense as it is here. In the Premier League, sometimes the ball can go from one goal to the other practically without anybody touching the ball and that is probably the biggest difference.

"We still have to get into a good position in the table. We have laid the foundations for which to build on. The defence is really important because a solid defence makes the whole team calmer and helps them play without so much anxiety. It is true the team was letting in quite a few goals and obviously at the moment this is something that does not seems to be the case."
