Tottenham boss Mauricio Pochettino was delighted for matchwinner Eric Dier after victory at West Ham United.
Dier was making his Premier League debut following his arrival from Sporting CP.
Hailing Dier's debut goal, Pochettino said: "I'm very pleased for him and like all the team he had a great performance.
"He's still young, but he showed last week and again today he can produce a great performance, he's calm, he has quality and potential but he's still young.
"We need to give him chances to play but also to be careful - but today I think he was the hero.
"We didn't change our style after the red card, we kept thinking about scoring.
"That was the signal from the dugout to the pitch and that was the most important thing."
