Tottenham boss Mauricio Pochettino has banished Emmanuel Adebayor and Aaron Lennon from his first team squad.

The Mirror says while the pair are allowed to use first team facilities at the club's Enfield HQ they have been told they must train with the development squad.

Spurs are in talks with Aston Villa over a move for Adebayor but have yet to agree a deal.

Everton want to sign Lennon but Spurs are demanding £9million for him - a figure the Toffees are not prepared to meet.

The winger made 12 starts on loan at Goodison Park last season, grabbing two goals after joining on deadline day.
